Arik Treston, Co-Founder/CEO At 15, Treston started clerking at a small-town video store in Pennsylvania. After college he worked in management for a regional video chain in PA, leading to a sales stint in 2001 at a major video wholesaler in Folsom, CA. Moving later to Los Angeles, Treston held roles in sales, marketing, publicity, and acquisitions for various independent labels, including Wolfe Releasing. In 2004, Treston became President of Distribution at Cinema Libre Studio, helping create the home entertainment division, overseeing numerous high-profile documentary releases. In 2007, Treston co-founded Cinevolve Studios, a distributor of festival-favorite independent films and documentaries. In 2011, Treston began consulting with indie film streaming service, Fandor.com, in content acquisition. Treston has also worked in production and has consulted with distributors, investment firms, and filmmakers.
Nicole Ballivian, Co-Founder/President, is an international award-winning filmmaker and president of Cinevolve Studios, a film distribution company . Nicole graduated in Film from American University in Washington DC in 1996. Nicole Ballivian's last feature film was a US-Palestinian comedy, Driving to Zigzigland (2006), which won the Russian Cinematographers and Film Critics Award, Best Actor and Best Feature Film Awards at Amal Film Fest (Spain) and the Arabian Sights Audience Award at FilmFest DC. Nicole was selected as a screenwriting fellow for the Sundance Institute - Royal Film Commission Jordan's RAWI Screenwriter's Lab for her screenplay, Sleeping on Stones, which is also a project that is fiscally sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts. Nicole's 20-year film and television production background includes work for Warner Bros, Universal Pictures and independent film. Nicole's eight-year film distribution background includes serving as Director of US Theatrical Distribution and Vice President of International Sales for Cinema Libre Studio. Nicole co-founded Cinevolve Studios in 2007, handling worldwide distribution for independent films.
Mary Keeler, VP of Distribution and Accounting, began working in the entertainment industry at Emmanuel Bates Communications, a Los Angeles based boutique public relations company focused on consumer products and entertainment clients. In 2005, she joined an independent film distributor, Cinema Libre Studios, which specialized in independent features and documentaries focused on social and political issues. At Cinema Libre Studios, Mary was responsible for all aspects of film publicity. She began working with Cinevolve Studios shortly after the company's inception. She came on as distribution manager in 2008. Mary received her bachelor's degree in Sociology / Law and Society from UC Riverside in 2006.
